The weekend snapper season is going full speed. This weekend we took 5 good fisherman that work at the ship yard and had a nice limit in a few hours. We worked over structure and had a few problems with cutoffs from a big ole cuda and a 6-7 ft shark actually ended up on Justin's hook for a short time. We caught most of our fish on a drift on live pinfish using 2-3 oz weights on a knocker rig. The other rig was a cigar minnow wrapped with the weight above the swivel, the fluttering bait attracted the smaller fish that pecked on the bait and created a natural chum spot.
There are 3 more weekends for the Fall season and the weather is great, come on down and get your share.
