Well the water temps have stayed above 64 for several days and in some spots has warmed to 67...that means the Spanish are here and they are hungry...
They are in a little deeper water, about 12-15 ft and we are using a mackerel tree with a 3 oz trolling weight and a 1/0 clark spoon. Troll about 3-4 kts and expect 2-3 at a time when you find the schools. The birds are working heavy over the glass minnows and the area around Crooked Island has been hot...
Keep a close eye on the back of the sand bar for the "man in a brown suit"...the Ling should be here any day and that is sure to add some excitement to a Spanish trolling trip!!!
